Pacific Crest Trail 2017 | The Sierra (during a 200% above average snow year)
Просмотров 23 тыс.5 лет назад
...After finally leaving Kennedy Meadows I hiked about 50 miles north and got off via Kearsarge Pass into Lone Pine - cute, little western town where I was able to put together a fresh resupply and get some snow gear for what lay ahead. I then hopped back on trail and continued hiking north for another 150 miles or so, going over all the passes and fording my way through all the rivers. 10 days...

HOW I ATE VEGAN ON TRAIL | PCT Vegan Resupply
Просмотров 71 тыс.6 лет назад
Hello everyone! I just wanted to point out that while this was my typical vegan food set-up for MOST of the trail (especially the end, OR/WA) it does not represent exactly what I ate on trail such as town grocery store add-ons, town restaurant food, trail angel meals, etc. This set-up was, however, my ideal/fave resupply foods to eat while on trail. They're all vegan, mostly organic, and actual...
PCT Thruhike Ultralight Gear - Sub 8 lb!!!
Просмотров 204 тыс.6 лет назад
Hey you! Thanks for watching :) This video shows what ended up in my pack by the end of my Pacific Crest Trail thruhike from May to September in 2017. My gear set up was ever evolving throughout the hike. I did not start with a UL set up but naturally gravitated towards it as the hike went on. I can say from experience now that less is more. This video summarizes the things that made the final ...
Very useful... Thanks for your effort to share
Question. My only backpacking experience is that I have hiked the whole AT. When I finished the AT in 2016, my fully-loaded pack weight was 29 pounds (with 4 days of food and two full small Smart Water bottles). Currently working to get my pack weight as low as practically possible so that I can hike it again. My current fully-loaded pack weight is 20 pounds. I can cut that to 19 ½ pounds if I go frameless. I think it’s worth carrying that extra ½ pound frame because it will transfer some weight off of my shoulders to my hips. What do you think - keep the frame or go frameless?
This is such a vibe. I'll be out there in just two months! ✨
So what happened? Show us the latest and greatest current events 😊
This chick said “jk, I haven’t quit hiking” and then never uploaded again lol

Fun to watch your hike. Are there more videos from your pct hike after this one? Could not find any.

How often did you generally have to resupply? Or how much food would you carry on you at a time? Like weeks? A month?
How do you let trail angels know you're vegan? Or do you just politely decline? Or are there vegan friendly trail angels? Also, which trail is the more vegan friendly?
thank you Cotezi.
Thank you
Best on RUclips

Hi, can you show how to cut the zlite sol, its the good idea fot packing Lite
Hey Cotezi, thanks for making the video. Really interesting, I’m just about to transition from hiking boots to trail runners and heard a lot about the line peaks, I also suffer from low back pain and knee pain so interesting to hear your views on them. Cheers mike
Exc video, thanks! Those little towels are almost the only thing REI has that I find useful anymore.
I would like to do this one. PCT 22 first
Good video
Cool about getting the avalanche training so you can go further on the slopes. Do you still hike with John Z?
Excellent video! Wish I would have seen this before I upgraded to the DupeLX, but I am a little taller. Thanks for the insight on this awesome piece of gear!
2:54 I have got to ask. In places like this, how do you know where to go? There doesn’t seem to be any visible trails there. Beautiful! I would worry, but beautiful though! Thanks for sharing! Great to see a vegan hiker! 🌱 😊
Has anyone ever hiked the entire PCT/CDT in Danner Mtn Lights?

Why are the shoulder straps so close together? Seems like it would be uncomfortable.
With this pack, how often do you need to re-supply your grub i.e., how many days worth of food can you haul?
Olallie Lake cap!!!
Hey, you're being missed. Any plans on returning to RUclips?
Hey, Cotezi, thanks for your posts. My wife and I think Clif bars are disgusting. Do you have a healthy, tasty alternate? Thanks.

Dirty A I am in love with you, can we go on a hike date in Colorado?
You should try this sleeping pad. Good for 4 season use, blows up in 3-4 breaths & is durable enough to sleep on the ground.
